Michele Bernhardt is an intuitive energy healer, Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Reiki Master/Instructor in Asheville, NC. With over a decade of experience in energy medicine, she helps clients overcome stress, anxiety and pain; supports cancer patients' recovery; and eases hospice patients and their loved ones through transition. She also teaches Reiki and Energy Balancing for Self Care classes. She has studied advanced healing techniques with energy medicine pioneer Rosalyn Bruyere and with Phyliss Furumoto, the granddaughter of Hawayo Takata who introduced Reiki to the western world.
Before opening her private practice in Asheville, she lived in San Francisco, where she served on the Advisory Group of Stanford Medical Center's Healing Partners program and founded the Healing Touch Volunteer Program at the San Francisco VA hospital. She is past president of Healing Touch California, a 501c(3) educational non-profit organization. She is a member of Healing Beyond Borders and the Healing Touch Professional Association.
Michele is a popular speaker on topics related to energy work. She has given presentations and workshops to cancer support groups, hospice organizations, senior groups and Healing Touch conferences.
Before studying energy work, Michele was an award-winning marketing communications executive who worked for agencies, corporations and non-profits in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco.
